"Frances was a wonderful person. Known generally a s " A u n t Fanny", she was a devouted Christian and a life -lo n g m em ber of Hiwasse Christian Church. Her grandfat he r wa s Co l . Abraham Whinnery, a pioneer citizen of Ben to n Coun ty, A rk ansas.

She first married Oliver Cowger. They had five chil d r e n t ogether. Oliver died in 1897. In 1902, she met a n d m ar rie d Alex McCall Galyean who was a widower with e ig ht c hil dren . Aunt Fanny became a mother to them, givi n g the m th e sam e loving care and devotion that she best ow ed o n her c hildre n. In addition, five children wer e bor n t o her an d Alex. A lex died in 1940. She remaine d a wi do w for 6 yea rs, then m et and married William McG rady wh o d ied in Decem ber 1951.

Aunt Fanny's life was an example of Christianity a s i t s h o uld be lived. She was very even mannered, neve r cri tici ze d , was patient and long suffering. She love d to h ear G od ' s word and served Heavenly Father faithfu lly. T owar d th e e nd of her life, she looked forward t o meetin g he r Lor d an d Master with a calm, steadfast fa ith."
