The letter states he was 81 yrs o l d a t th e ti me, gives his birth date and place, is dat e d 7 Ja nuary , 183 4, and was written from Suffolk Count y , N.Y. Th e lett er say s he lived in Southold, Suffolk C ou nty, N.Y . from th e tim e of his military service to da t e of lette r in 1834.
