It is my sad duty to report that on 2 Jul 01 at 9:35 EDT Sherry (Wilson) Tomco lost her b attle with cancer. She was at home in West Virginia surrounded by family. Now in a better p lace and free of pain, she will be missed by all. She was the daughter of Abbie "Bonnie" and Oakey Wilson. She is survived by her husband Pau l Tomco of Maryland, 1 daughter and 1 grand daughter. Also by sisters, Irene, Linda, and Br enda and Brothers Benny and Marty.
Greetings,
Over the past months I have kept you all informed as to Aunt Sherry's condition. You have al l been so wonderful in the sending of cards or just wishing her well. I want to thank you fo r the entire family for all you thoughts, prayers and well wishes. It is my duty to inform you all that Aunt Sherry lost her battle with cancer on the second o f July at 9:35 EDT. Before she past her brothers and sisters brought her home to West Virgin ia. In her final week she was surrounded by family and friends who loved her. It is sad t o say but it was probably the happiest time of her life. She didn't go without a fight thoug h. The family was told that she would be gone in a few minutes and 2 hours later she was stil l holding on. Peace is finally hers, no one can hurt her or cause her pain ever again.
The wake will be on Thursday evening and the funeral will be held on Friday morning July 6t h at 10 am at the Bergoo Baptist Church. She will be interred beside her mother Bonnie.
