Benjamin and his wife Louisa were the licencees of The Greyhound public house situated at 1,Kensington Square,Kensington.in the county of Middlesex . Middlesex The third child George Hurren was born at 11pm.on the 11 th September 1837. I do not know the whereabouts of George as yet. It is thought that Benjamin was married previously and may have had another family in Suffolk because there is a burial in Hadleigh Suffolk of Elizabeth Hurren dated 31st May 1828 aged 49 years. A baptism was also found of a son Henry 25th April 1818 to Elizabeth and Benjamin Hurren (An Innkeeper of Hadleigh)

A marriage of Louisa and Benjamin is not yet to hand /I have searched the records of Suffolk record office and found the birth entries for Frederick and Louisa .Both were born in Hadleigh Suffolk when Benjamins trade was stated as Innkeeper in 1832 and a Gent! in 1834. His widow Louisa left a will in 1872 which Bequeathed a sum of Fifty Pounds to be paid to her son Frederick Drummond Hurren by monthly instalments of Four Pounds per month.To her granddaughter Louise Jane Sigel she left her "pianoforte" and such of her trinkets that her mother should think fit.It goes on to say that her brother in law Thomas Smith should have trust of the goodwill of her business (The pub called the "Greyhound") No mention was made of her other Grandchildren!The will was proved 19th Feb.1872 on the oath of Thomas Smith.(Is this her sisters husband or maybe her sister in laws husband?) No mention is made of son George ? Frederick did not live to receive his inheritance ,he had died on the 13th May 1870 aged 37 years.

From the 1861 census I found Frederick and his wife Flora living at 2,Capland St.in Marylebone.A son Frederick age 1 year was the first born. The father Frederick died of pneumonia and the address given 1,Luke street Pancras. Frederick died from Pneumonia aged only 38 years.His wife Flora was stated to be present at the death.His son Henry was christened 12th July 1869 at St.Pancras Old Church and so it seems that Flora was left with four children,the youngest being only about one year!Son Frederick born about1859,son Benjamin born1862 and daughter Elizabeth born about 1867/8.
