DEATH COMES TO LEWIS ALEXANDER

Lewis Alexander died at his home in Prague Sunday night from aheartattack. Mr. Alexander has been afflicted with heart troubleforseveral years.

Lewis Clinton Alexander was born in Elmview, Texas, May 14, 1880anddeparted this life in Prague , June 12, 1949 at the age of 69yearsand 29 days.

Mr. Alexander moved to Oklahoma April 2, 1892 and since that datehasmade his home in Prague.

In December, 1900, he and Miss Ruth F. Ferguson were united  inholymatramony. To this Union 9 children were born; three of whomprecededhim in death.

In 1906 he was baptised in the Church of Christ.

Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Mrs. L.C. Alexander, threesons:Tenton Alexander and Thurston Alexander of Prague; WinfordAlexander ofOklahoma City; three daughters: Mrs Walter V. Ridpath,Mrs. R.V. Clark,and Mrs. M.K. Lyle, all of Oklahoma City. Fourgrandchildren and onegreat grandchild, two sisters and two brothersand a host of otherrelatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 14, 1949 at theFirstMethodist Church with Mr. Cole, Oklahoma City in Charge.Intermentmade in Prague Cemetary under the direction of Park Bros.funeralhome.

RITES SATURDAY FOR RUTH ALEXANDER

Funeral for Mrs. Ruth Alexander was Saturday at 2:30 p.m. inParksBrothers funeral home. Burial was in the Prague Cemetery withParksBrothers directing.

Mrs. Alexander was born in Licking, Mo., January 27, 1882 anddiedNovember 16, 1960, at her home in Prague, at the age of 78 years.Shehad lived in Prague for 60 years.

She married Lewis Alexander in December 1900. He preceded her indeathin 1949.

Survivors include three sons, Trenton and Thurston of Prague,AndWinfred, Seminole; three daughters Ailene Lyle, Glenco, PeggyRidpath,Oklahoma City, and Helen Clark, St. Louis, Mo; 11grandchildren andtwo great grandchildren.

    You have a mistake posted on your website that I have also seen on other sites.  I have written to other researchers about this and I feel I should let you know that you have posted erroneous info rmation.
    My great-grandmother, Rosa Ann Berry, was NOT married to Rad Frederick.  Rosa was married to James Jordan Frederick.  They are buried together in Wayne County Missouri at Estes Cemetery.  Rad Fred erick was married to Sarah Elizabeth Neighbors and this couple is also buried at Estes Cemetery.  Rad and James were brothers.
     My grandmother, Grace Blanche Frederick, was James and Rosa's youngest daughter.  She was NOT married to a Wilson or a Crady.  She was married to my grandfather Roy Edgar Alexander.  They are bur ied together in Butler County Missouri at Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Grace's sister, Nellie, was married to Christopher Columbus Boyer.  They are buried in Carter County Missouri at Hill Top Cemetery.  Grac e and Nellie also had several other older sisters and one brother.
      I realize that it will be a bother to change your information on the Internet, but I think it would be wrong to leave it there if you truly care about family research.   The Internet spreads inf ormation like wildfire and I know that my grandmother, who was a very private person, would not want her name on it.   But... if it has to be there, she would definitely want the right men named as he r father and her husband!
      Thank you for your prompt attention this matter.  I hold my grandparents' and my great-grandparents' memories sacred in my heart, as I'm sure you do your own.
