Burial; Sunset Hill Cemetery, Warrensburg Township, Warrensburg, Mo. The cemetery is located on west Young Street which is the same as Bus Hwy 50. From the intersection of Hwy 50 and Bus Hwy 50, go south and east on Bus Hwy 50, As you start to curve back to the east you will see the cemetery. There are two gates into the cemetery. One is located on the Highway. The other can be found by going south from Bus Hwy 50 on Main Street one block to Colburn Street and then go west into the cemetery. The stone can be found by taking the east entrance. Go to the first right turn. Follow this road until you make a left turn. The marker is in the second or third row. Both husband and wife are found there. I (David J. Montgomery) have a picture of the Grave Marker that I took.

Family is listed in 1850 Cen. Warrensburg Twp., Johnson Co., Mo. page 14, line 26-31. Family is also in 1880 Census, Warrensburg Twp., Johnson Co., Mo. p.8 line 42-45.

Marriage record for Andrew and Susan is found in an index Lillard County & Lafayette County, Mo., Marriages 1821-1850, compiled by Elizabeth Prather Ellsberry, Chillicothe, Mo., p.28. The marriage was recorded 7 Oct 1841 by R.D. Morrow. Also found in Lafayette County Mo. Marriage Book B., page 158.

The information on Isaac Lewis Grainger is taken from the Grainger Family Bible and the 1900 Census for Buffalo Township, Newton Co., Missouri, ED 102, Sheet 7A.
From the Neosho Times, Neosho, Missouri, Thursday, May 18, 1942:
Isaac Lewis Grainger, 84 years old, long-time citizen of Senecan and well known over the county, died at his home there at 10:45 o'clock Saturday night, after an illness of many months.
Funeral services were conducted at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon (23 May 1942) at the Swars Prairie Baptist Church near Seneca. The rites were in charge of Rev. C.E. Befgen, district Missionary of the Shoal Creek Baptist Association, and Rev. R.W. Forbes, pastor of the Seneca Baptist Church. Burial was in the cemetery near this church under the direction of the Buzzard Funeral Home.(Swars Prairie Baptist Cemertery, South of Seneca, Newton co., Missouri)
Mr. Grainger was a stockman and farmer all of his life until advancing years made hard work impossible for him. He was a member of the Republican party and was active in its interests. In 1908, he was elected judge of Newton County Court and served two terms. Sometime later, he was appointed truant officer and county welfare officer. He was a man of fine character and was honest and conscientious in all of his dealings, both public and private. Men in both parties, as well as neighbors and acquaintances all over the diestrict, esteemed him highly.
Surviving besides his widow, Mrs. Mary Ann Grainger, are one daughter, Mrs. Cora Mailes, Seneca Rout 1; three sons, John A. Grainger of Sececa, former Newton County Collector, Lee Grainger of Neosho Rout 4 and Orval Grainger of Secneca Rout 2; 25 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. *********************************************
