General Notes (Husband)



In the Bible he gave his wife, Lucy Jane, his birth date is recorded as January 18, 1828, San Sebastian, Spain, but his age at death is noted there as 26 years 11 months 23 days.  His surname is sometimes found De Echenagucia.


General Notes (Wife)



Her father willed Lucy Jane all his land on the north side of the Castine to Blue Hill road in the town of Penobscot, along with his residence and personal property.  Her brother, Amos, was willed about 30 acres on the south side of the road.


General Notes for Child Herman Echenagucia



Penobscot Vital Records lists him as Haman Hahn de Echenagucia.  Phil Perkins stated in 1995 that Herman owned and operated a bakery in Castine, fourth business on Main Street north of Water Street on the east side (where the open alleyway exists today giving access to Bah's Bakery), and that Herman may be buried in Bangor, ME [Perkins is responsible for the Castine cemetery and is a professional educator and historian].
