!DEATH: Death certificate sent by Douglas Dalton, gives Portand as place of death; residence as Hood River, Oregon; confirms vital dates, age 75 years, 10 months, 10 days. According to news item she was staying with her daughter in Portland at the time of her death.
!Obit also says she attended Methodist college in Corvallis. In 1885 they moved to Harney County, but later returned to Dallas. Lived with sons at Mt. Hood in Hood River Valley after death of husband.
