George W. Vosburgh was the father of Lewis Edward Vosburgh...After the divorce of Barbara Engel the mother of Lewis Edward Vosburgh, Barbara married Johann Guehlstorff and adopted Lewis Edward Vosburgh by court action in Cass County Court in Plattsmouth Nebr. Vol. 14 123-124, Nebr. and Otoe Co. P 784 Salt Lake. Also district and County Court records in Plattsmouth, Cass Co. Nebr. Lewis's name was changed to Edward Guehlstorff at the same time.
George is the son of Cornelius Vosburg and Cornelia Howlett....The last I ever learned of George was that he went to the Niles Michigan area. A barber Wilda and I talked to in about 1962 in Manley, Cass Co., Nebraska...a Mr Flieschman who then was in his 90's knew Cornelius, Cornelia, Zuray (Ziba on your records and brother to Cornelius) Both have farms just a mile or two north of manley. Good farms with large barns and well tended. Also good fruit trees.
Mr Flieschman said George was a ladies man, his uncle Zuray was a Mason, a Republican and a good debator. Zuray and Cornelius were well respected in the community.
