Albinos (A.B.) was one of 5 children born to Henry Theodore Evans &Sarah Elizabeth Phillips. A.B. was the only child who survived andlived a long life. None of A.B.'s children knew how much education heacquired, but he spoke of using a Confederate $100.00 bill for hisbook marker. A.B. was a big man with many talents. He helped his wife preparebreakfast each morning, even after the children were gone. He servedon the Allison School Board. He was known over a large area as a horseand mule trader and he always had a large herd. Having a good team ofmules was his pride and joy. A.B. was a veterinarian for many peoplein the community, sitting with his patients all night and receivinglittle or no money. He sat with the sick neighbors and even prepared abody for burial if the need arose. Then he'd be one of the first atthe grave digging. A.B.'s children knew him as a strictdisciplinarian, and respected him as such. But, to his grandchildren,he was a gentle giant. A.B.'s daily trip to Allison for his mail,delivering eggs, cream or whatever he had from the garden, gave himgreat pleasure. He could visit with someone each day. A.B. was stillactive at 91 years of age, until his death, February 28, 1974. Withhis passing, much history is gone forever. Written by Opal Evans.

General Notes for Child Jeina Earline Evans
Earline was a year old when the family left East Texas. She attendedschool at Wheeler. She married Frank Bryant, they lived on a farm fourmiles west of her parents home, until they sold that farm and boughtland at Sudan, Muleshoe and Lubbock. In 1947, they made their home inLubbock. Colene is their only child. Frank died of cancer in 1961.Earline resided in the home until her death of cancer in October of1969.

Forace and Newasa lived on a farm near Allison, Texas and he wasemployed by the State Highway Department until he retired. He sold hisfarm to Lloyd Jones.

Orlace (Rusty) died of cancer in Los Angeles California and wasbrought home for burial in the family plot at Zybach Texas. Heattended school in Wheeler, Highland and Zybach. Rusty went toCalifornia in 1938 and worked sharpening saws in California and movedto Arizona, where he worked for a short time in the copper mines.Rusty and Margaret moved back to Los Angeles and he opened his own sawsharpening shop.

Nete attended school at Zybach and Allison, married Harley Wright andhad two sons, one died at birth. They lived south of Allison, workingon the Bowers Ranch. They worked on several ranches before going towork at the Bruce Waterfield Ranch, 1942, in the Gageby Community.Harley and Nete lived in the Gageby Community 23 years. In 1966 theymoved to the Waterfield Ranch, west of Canadian, Texas. Nete droveschool children into school for four or five years and worked at theEdward Memorial Home.
