Royaster, a a Grandson of Clemensia roper and Lewis Scearce, now living in Fulton, Fulton County, Kentucky, certify that the foregoing list was originally copied from the old Family Bible of Joseph Roper, then in the hands of Joseph A (known as button) Roper, a son of Joseph Roper and Zulima McClellan, and then living about eight or ten miles north of Fulton, Kentucky, in Hickman County. Kentucky, but now dead; after the death of said Button, the Bible passed into the hands of his son, Shouse Roper and was burned when his home was destroyed by fire five or six years ago, and I think that copies of the above list made by me are the only authentic records of the original Roper family in Fulton County, Kentucky, or in Hickman County.
