Howard M. Marshall
Howard Melson Marshall, 81, Lafayette, died at 12:29 p.m. Sept. 28,
2000, at Home Hospital there.
Mr. Marshall attended Dayton High School. He worked at Dayton Lumber
Co. 15 years, then at Henry Poor Lumber for 28 years. He retired in 1980.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Medical Corps
from 1942-45. He belonged to Immanuel United Church of Christ and was
a 50-year member of Dayton Masons where he was a past master.
Mr. Marshall was born April 2, 1919, in Hanover, to James Robert Milton
and Pauline Fewell Marshall. He married Betty J. Jones on July 19, 1947, in
Dayton, and she survives.
Services were at 3 p.m. Saturday at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, 400
Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette. The Rev. Stephen Redman officiated. Burial
is in Hopewell Cemetery, Frankfort.
