!Birth and death dates given in "Orange County, Indiana, Cemetery Records," Paoli, IN: Lost River Chapter, DAR, 1947, vol. 3, p. 245 (Trimble Cemetery, Northeast Township). Wife, Elizabeth and two children David, and Elizabeth Ann followed him in death within the next 15 months. According to Pearl S. Wilson, records searcher in Paoli, this was the time of a Cholera epidemic in the upper Lost River. Brother Cyrus was first appointed guardian (Washington County Probate Book ??:85, 12 November 1832); then brother-in-law, Joseph Maxwell, became guardian 10 February 1835 (Washington County Probate Book 6:242).
