Mahlon Houser, 94, 6092 North U.S. 27, Bryant, died Friday evening at Swiss Village in Berne. Born June 19, 1909, he was the son of George and Clara (Spade) Houser. He was married on June 22, 1935 to Eva Gibson, who survives. He was a farmer and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bryant. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Nancy) Ball of Portland; a sister, Mary Manor of Portland; four step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland with burial in the Gravel Hill Cemetery west of Bryant. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3-5 p.m. Memorials can be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
