Bright Gilstrap owned many acres of land in the Little EastatoeValleyof Pickens County, SC. There is a good account of his deedandsettlement of estates in the Pickens County court house. Bright wasasuccessful farmer and before his death gave most, if not all, ofhisreal estate to his children and heirs. When his estate wassettledthere was mention of farm tools, livestock, furniture andpersonalproperty only.
