 John & his family were in Dawson Co., GA in 1860, 1870 & 1880.  Hewas a Justice of the Peace, performing many marriages. Most of the sons of John & Louisa moved to Erath Co., TX in the late1800's/early 1900's & settled near Bluff Dale.  Each was given a farmby his Grandfather Glenn, fertile land along the Paluxy River.

Today the house has been restoredand islived in by Frances Earl Hendrix' daughter.  The house islocated offof Abner Creek Road on Kist Road.
