General Notes for Child King Caroli Hohenzollern Of Romania
Became King of Romania in 1930. Crown Prince Carol of Romania (the future King Carol II) renounced the throne in 1925 for the sake of his divorced mistress Madame Lupescu. Carol's career had been packed with scandal, causing his father, King Ferdinand, to say of him on his deathbed, "Carol is like a Swiss cheese, excellent for what it is, but so full of holes". Carol's five-year old son Michael was proclaimed king in 1927 after Ferdinand's death. Three years later Carol was reinstated as monarch, but was deposed in 1940 by the Romanian dictator Antonescu and went into exile; Michael became King once more and reigned for seven years.

General Notes (Husband)
Thomas Western of the City of London & Rivenhall. Admitted Grocers Company 1656. Purchased Rivenhall Place 1693.
Will dated 23 Aug.1706. proved 14 Feb.1707 PCC. Age 83
Built vault at Rivenhall Church to hold 6 persons.
Restoration of the Monarchy meant revival of Royal Navy under supervision of Duke of York - afterwards King James 11. Bought tract of woodland near Burwash plus forges and blast furnaces. By 1670 is head of Government Ordanance foundries. Became Deputy Lieutenant of City of London 1690.
Thomas Western. younger son of grocer-father embarks on own profitable line; Restoration of monarchy meant revival of Royal Navy - under personal supervision of the Duke of York, - afterwards James 2nd. Thomas weds wealthy Sussex woman, Martha Gott, (30 Sept. 1651) and also bought a tract of woodland near Burwash plus one or more forges and blast furnaces. By 1670 he is head of one of the government ordinance foundries; his father-in-law, Samual Gott is also involved. He had been M.P. for Winchelsea in the Long Parliament and also in Cromwell's.. 1656 & 59 for C. Sussex and the Borough of Hastings. Thomas Western became Deputy Lieutenant of the City of London in 1690. He died aged 83, 11/3/1707.
He made his will (8 closely written folios) Christmas Day 1706... in which he is described as "citizen & grocer of London.. and of Rivenhall. His only single daughter, Sarah, (bapt. St. Dunstan in the East, 3 July 1663) was left £2000, the best bed and furniture in the room where he died, one of his coaches; a pair of horses et. She was to marry the Hon. Francis Bridges, youngest son of 8th Lord Chandos at Westminster Abbey, 6/10/1709. she died in 1725.
He directed that he be buried in Rivenhall Church in daylight - i.e. not at Midnight, by Thomas Cooke, vicar of Crossing. His body was to be borne to the church by 12 of his tenants and laid near his late wife and children. A "vast encourager of ministers" he left bequests to near 12 the "greater number of whom are dissenters". £6 was left to the governors of Christ's Hospital that "they may appoint a street walker to order and dispose of the carrmen and carts, to stand in such places of the streets as the inhabitants living between Billingsgate and St Dunstan's Hill may not be annoyed by them standing before their houses and obstructing the ways to the passages and ways to their shops and houses.
He apparently still owned a town-house. There is no mention in the will of the patronage of the living of Rivenhall.
"From the 3rd son, Maximilian, of Abbington, Cambs. "we trace through his grandson, Charles, an Oxfordshire rector,... to the " present Baronet"
This last is open to question: i.e. the rector link!
