Susannah Guseman, second child of Jacob and Christeena Wolfe Guseman, born Oct. 7, 1819, was united in marriage to William J. Kelley, March 14, 1841, who was born Jan. 1, 1815, being a son of John and Katherine Kelley of Preston Co., WV. They commenced housekeeping in the community where each was born and raised.
About 1850 they bought and moved to a farm in the Glades near Gladesville, in the northwestern part of Preston Co., where their children grew to maturity and where they resided until their demise.
William J. Kelley died July 11, 1891, and his wife, Susannah Guseman Kelley, Aug. 27, 1902. By the passing of these two good people, the community lost most excellent, helpful Christian neighbors. They were scrupulously honest and very conscientious in all they said or done. Their children lost good, kind, and indulgent parents, which to them was an irreparable loss.
They kept many instructive and commendable proverbs before their children to guide them and keep them true to their admonition, viz: "Buy the truth and sell it not." "Be honest, upright, respecting the aged, doing all things decently and orderly, summing up the whole by doing unto others as you would they should do unto you."
There were five daughters and six sons born unto William J. and Susannah Kelley, to bless their home and comfort them in their decline.

Individual note: Albert and Mattie established their home in Preston Co., WV; later moved to the Elkwater area of Randolph County. They moved to Oklahoma when most of their children did. The only ones of the 12 or so Kelly children who stayed were Dorothy (Wamsley) and Ida (Bell).
Albert and Mattie had 13 children -- 5 daughters and 8 sons.
"Prairie Fire" says, in an account of the history of Elk City, OK, written by Helen Burnett:
"Crowe was the first post office, though it got its name through error. It was supposed to have been named in honor of A.L. Crone, but the postal officials read the petition the wrong way, making it "Crowe." The Post Office, located three miles southwest of the present townsite on the Cisero Sitton homestead, was established in 1899, in Sitton's dugout. The location was later purchased by Albert Kelly, father of six sons: Will, Marshall, John, Ed, Clarence, and Olin, and four daughters: Dolly Wamsley, Ida Bell, Kate Allison, and Carrie Hall. "
