    Cornelius Roberts Jr., a son of Cornelius and Nancy (Stanley) Roberts, was born in Pike C ounty KY in March 1836 and died August 31,1913.  He married Nancy Hammons.  Nancy, a daughte r of Jesse Sr. and Charlotte (Broughton) Hammons, was born in 1841 and died before 1890.

He married Mary Elzada Norma n in Webster County WV February 1, 1894.  Mary, a daughter of Henry Bell and Louisa Carolin e (Cornell) Norman, was born in Calhoun County WV June 12, 1876 and died in Nicholas County J une 6, 1961.
