He was a, WW II, veteran, US. Navy, he served on the, USS. FortErie;US. ARS Madison J. Manchester; USS. Francis Drake.

He was awarded the, American Area Medal; European- African- Mid East Medal;    and the, Asiatic- Pacific Medal.

He entered service on October 14, 1943 and was, HonorableDischargedas, Seaman Frist Class, at, Charleston Naval Base, Charleston, SC., on January 22, 1946.
