of Wykeham and Spalding. Townsend (1) claims this marriage had noissue. The Lincolnshire pedigrees (2) show James, Anne, Elizabeth andFrancis. Vital records for Spalding show four other possible children, who could however be children of another John Harington of Spalding, contemporary with this one, althoughno such person is apparent from the records (3). This person is notedalso as immigrating to Maryland in 1659 (4).

General Notes for Child John Harington

He was created 1st Baron Harington of Exton on 7/21/1603 (1-3). He orhis son could conceivably be the basis for the "John, Lord Harrington"who is claimed to have died in Virginia in 1607 and is claimed asancestor of Harringtons there (4) although a more likely candidate is John Stanhope, Lord Harrington (5).The submitter knows of no evidence that this Lord Harington had anythingto do with the colony in Virginia.
