ADAM HARRIS, son of Thomas Harris I, of Harrisville, was the pioneer of the Henry Amos Farm. He was born in Virginia, 1816, and was a shoemaker by trade. His wife was, Margaret Webb, sister of Benjamin Webb, and she was born 1813. They removed from here (HARRISVILLE) to the Kennedy farm at the mouth of Lamb's Run, and from there went to the Lemuel Wilson place above Smithville, where they died, and at Smithville they rest. Their children: Thomas M., who lost his live in the war the sixties (Civil War 1861-1865); Nancy J., Mrs Robert Lucas; Rebecca E., Mrs Joe Stilman, Gilmer Co.; Martha A., Mrs Thomas Martin, Smithville; Eliza B.; Benjamin and Robert Harris.

ADAM HARRIS, son of Thomas Harris I, of Harrisville, was the pioneer of the Henry Amos Farm. He was born in Virginia, 1816, and was a shoemaker by trade. His wife was, Margaret Webb, sister of Benjamin Webb, and she was born 1813. They removed from here (HARRISVILLE) to the Kennedy farm at the mouth of Lamb's Run, and from there went to the Lemuel Wilson place above Smithville, where they died, and at Smithville they rest. Their children: Thomas M., who lost his live in the war the sixties (Civil War 1861-1865); Nancy J., Mrs Robert Lucas; Rebecca E., Mrs Joe Stilman, Gilmer Co.; Martha A., Mrs Thomas Martin, Smithville; Eliza B.; Benjamin and Robert Harris.
