BIO: Per the 1870 Census, "Philip" was 14 years of age in Aug., 1870; he was born in Ohio. Compiler found no marriage recorded in Fulton County for Phillip, but Wm. HASSENPLUG, in his data submitted to GenServ gave the date of this marriage as 01 MAR 1880. Since Phillip did not appear in his parents' household on that census, this would be a reasonable claim. HASSENPLUG did not include the place of the marriage. Compiler found the graves of "Rev. Philip H. and Delphia A. BUEHLER" in the South Germany Cemetery in Fulton County, IN, where other members of this family were also buried. Several years after this discovery, compiler found "Philip" and "Delphie" BUEHLER on the 1920 census record for Richland Township, Fulton County, IN. Both were listed as 62 years of age; both born in OHIO. Phillip's occupation was listed as "Minister." Although Mr. HASSENPLUG's data states that Phillip died in St. Joseph County, IN, he was buried in South Germany Cemetery in Fulton County. His name on the tombstone has been spelled "Rev. Philip H. BUEHLER".

BIO: Compiler has not located marriage records for this couple, however, William HASSENPLUG, in the data he submitted to GenServ states that they were married on the first day of March, 1880 in Sandusky, OHIO. Since the marriage did not appear in "Fulton County, IN Marriages, A-K," in either spelling-- BEEHLER/BUEHLER, compiler is assuming that Mr. HASSENPLUG has found some documentation that the marriage took place in OHIO. Compiler found Delphia A. BUEHLER buried beside her husband "Rev. Philip H. BUEHLER" in the South Germany Cemetery in August, 1990. In 1997, this couple was found on census records for Fulton County, IN for 1920. Both were listed as 62 years of age; both were reported to have been born in OHIO. Mr. HASSENPLUG has provided Delphia's middle and maiden names.

Individual note: BIO: Estella May BEEHLER was the mother of Mabel (HASSENPLUG) BROWN, who is thought to have done much of the research on the BUEHLER/BEEHLER family history. Shortly after compiler began genealogical research on this and related families, she was informed by Margarett STEININGER and Wilma (MOW) FOLTZ that Mabel's work had been extensive, but no one seemed to know what had happened to it after Mabel's death. Compiler's husband found the BUEHLER family data on GenServ in Dec., 1997. The submitter was reported to be William HASSENPLUG, a resident of Lansing, MI. Further examination of the data available led to the information that William was a descendent of Mabel's brother, Obed Buehler HASSENPLUG.
