Thomas Thorn is listed in the 1790 Census living in Warre n County, North Carolina. His Will, dated 9 September 181 5 is on file in the Chester County Court House in Will Boo k F, 1816-1817. He served during the Revolution under Gener al Greene, and participated in the battles at Kings Mountai n, Eutaw Springs, and Guilford Courthouse. Mary Mobley Rees e's DAR application #226011 cites Thomas Thorn's service an d her descendence from him. "Revolutionary Soldiers of Cath olic Presbyterian" by Mary Wylie Strange contains considera ble information on his descendants.
