MAJOR BATTLES: CROSSING THE RHINE, CROSSING THE RHORE, BATTLE OF THE BULGE. DURING THE BULGE FATHER SAID HE TOLD THE GOOD LORD THAT IF HE GOT OUT OF THIS MESS HE WOULD GO WHERE IT NEVER SNOWED AGAIN. WHEN HE RETURNED TO THE STATES HE MOVED TO CALIFORNIA WHERE HE NEVER WENT NEAR SNOW AGAIN.
